Bull sharks, Lemon, Blacktip and Nurse sharks make up the majority of the
larger sharks we encounter. Shark fishing can be exciting as these
large predators cruise the flats and channels of the Florida Keys.
The larger ones average 80 to 120 pounds while smaller species like the
Bonnethead shark rarely exceed 10 pounds. Fishing for them can be
done on fly or light tackle, the latter being very productive during the
warmer months. |
